MoonJune Records announces a new release from another of Indonesia's celebrated music personalities —multi-genre keyboardist, composer, producer and peace activist Dwiki Dharmawan. With a career spanning more than 30 years and performances in more than 60 countries, Dwiki remains one of his nation’s most popular and respected artists.
On his debut for MoonJune, listeners are treated to an exotic musical mélange featuring fusion and progressive rock luminaries Chad Wackerman, Jimmy Haslip, (plus fellow MoonJune artists and Indonesian giants) Dewa Budjana and Tohpati, along with legendary violinist Jerry Goodman. So Far, So Close features adventurous compositions, arrangements and performances.
Lovers of fusion's "golden era" (mid-'70s through the mid-'80s) will find plenty to enjoy on this “coming out party” recorded in Los Angeles by Jeff Lorber
and mixed and mastered by renowned producer Robert Feist.
Despite a long and storied musical career, Dwiki remains constantly in search of new challenges. His initial effort for MoonJune reflects that mentality—an engaging and immediate progressive fusion album.
